Snowshoe hike in the Nuuk fiord

Join us for a refreshing tour in the snow-covered mountain landscapes just a short sailing tour away from Nuuk.

We'll sail about 30 min. away from Nuuk to a bay called Ikkattut and go on land up to a plateau with a great viewpoint to get a fine view over the fiords majestic landscape.

This is a tour for those needing to get out and be a little active in the cold på wonderful winter weather. The high fjells are gorgeous with their snowcovered peaks

The tour is approx. 3-4 km long and all in all should take 5 hours, incl. the sailing.

On this tour we might get lucky and spot some wildlife such as ptarmigan, arctic hares and perhaps even the very shy polar fox

It can get extremely cold with the wind chill, so it's important to wear several layers, to be able to stay warm. It's better to be able to take a layer or 2 off than missing them in the cold. Do use gaiters or at the very least waterproof snowpants.

Bring your own food and snacks, there'll be hot water for cocoa or tea as well as coffee on board the boat.
