A city walk around the old part of Nuuk
Go with one of local guides and learn more about the local city-life with fun stories from Nuuks swift development and a little about Greenland in general.
Our guide will walk you through Nuuks history as well as the cultural landscape. We'll make a few stops around areas of interest such as the parliament, the new boardwalk the colonial harbour and a nice viewpoint of the oldest part in Nuuk.
We'll do a quick stop at the parliament to tell you more about the local history and some of the important busts and paintings we can see in the entrance hall.
From the parliament we'll make our way down to Tuapannguit to get onto the newly made boardwalk which will eventually go throughout the coastline of Nuuk - it's a wonderful path down to the colonial harbour with a view towards Kangeq where Hans Egede orignially settled.
From the colonial harbour we go up to a very nice viewpoint where many photos for postcards from Nuuk have been taken - a nice photo spot with old colourful houses and the iconic Sermitsiaq mountain in the distance.
As a bonus the guide can provide information regarding souvenirs and recommendations for food and much more.
OBS: this is a walking tour - so please dress according to the weather. We start from our administrative office by "imaneq 27"
