Take a trip to the peaceful Qoornoq Island with Nuuk Water Taxi's Northern Lights Photo Tour. When it gets dark and the stars come out, you'll be surrounded by the quiet beauty of icebergs stranded along the coastline of Qoornoq, each one looking different and made by nature, making great foreground subjects for the northern lights or even just a starry night.
A professional photographer will help you take pictures of the Northern Lights as they move across the sky filled with stars. No matter if you're good at photography or just starting out and just have a phone, our expert will be there to help you get great photos, whether it's of you with the Northern Lights in the background or just giving you advice on how to use your camera well.
Qoornoq is the ideal location for this, as you can capture quaint cabins, ice in so many different ways and stunning mountains all around the island.
This tour is more than just taking pictures; it's a chance to really see and experience one of the most amazing sights nature has to offer.
We spend approx. 1-2 hours in Qoornoq, depending on conditions. We highly advice dressing very warmly for our time on land. The sailing itself should be around an hour and a half each way, occasionally passing the odd icebergs under the starry night sky.
It’s a good idea to bring an extra source of light if you wish to try and light up some of the icebergs. And we highly recommend warm rubber boots as the ice is on the beach.

Important Note
Please note that this tour is very weather dependent. When you are going out on an adventure, it is highly recommended to bring both camera and binoculars. It is also advisable to bring warm clothes. It's best to dress in layers as we'll quickly get warm going uphill but will likely get a little cold when standing still and enjoying the view by the tiny shelter
