A Northern Lights boat tour in Nuuk is the perfect way to experience The Aurora Borealis.

It has always been fascinating for the people of the arctic, the pioneering people.

Join us on this brand new excursion where we set up when other boats tug in for the night. We go explore in the cold arctic night in search of the amazing lights.

Please check "Info -> meeting point" here on the website to see where we are departing from. from the departure point we'll head towards an area named Akia – from here we have a wonderful view of the city’s skyline and we have no disturbing lights. We continue to cruise very slowly towards the vast fiord system, making multiple stops where we silence the boat and enjoy the setting in the sky.

The Northern Lights are a result of particles from the Sun interfering with the atmosphere of the Earth at the magnetic poles.

The northern lights are a naturally occurring phenomenon, but it’s extremely difficult to say when it’ll show up. To be frank you just need a clear night sky to have a chance and therefore we cannot guarantee you to actually see it. The great thing about going on our boats is that you’ll get away from all of the light pollution in the city – giving a better and clearer chance of seeing the auroras.

We will cancel tours last minute if it is too cloudy.

Coffee, Tea or Hot chocolate are always complimentary on these cruises.
