Guider - at sea

If you have experience with sailing, this might be the job for you.

You'll be a host on the ship for its guests, responsible for welcoming guests, checking them off the passenger list, conducting safety briefings before departure, and generally being present and conveying Greenland's nature and history in a good way.

Guider - for Citywalk

We conduct city walks for tourists, telling and conveying Greenland's history and especially Nuuk's history along the way. Is this something for you?

Guides - for Hikes/Snowshoe Tours

We currently offer snowhoe hike tours and other hikes with tourists. However, it's an area we wish to expand, so if you can see yourself as a hiking guide leading a group of 10 tourists from Qooqqut to Kapisillit or Kangiusaq over 7 nights in the fjord with tourists, then this might be for you.

Instructor for Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) / Kayaking

We offer short trips in and around Nuuk but also Kayak and SUP in the ice fjord – if this interests you, then this is probably the position you should apply for.

May - September

Camp staff, Camp Kangiusaq

In our glamping camp, Camp Kangiusaq, we have luxurious cotton tents with double beds placed on wooden terraces with the most beautiful view of the fjord. There are also paddleboards, kayaks, and a small boat available for shorter fishing trips. Here's your opportunity to showcase your natural talents. If you have a flair for nature, and enjoy staying off-grid for periods, then maybe taking care of our guests in our camp is something for you.

June - September

Camp Manager, Camp Kangiusaq

We need a Camp Manager to take care of our Camp daily. This includes ordering supplies, ensuring safety, scheduling shifts, and daily management. The camp is in the most beautiful surroundings, completely undisturbed deep in the Nuuk fjord.

May - October

Captains, Targa and steel Vessel

We need permanent and relief captains all year round, so feel free to apply for this position if you have at least a Certificate of Competency and preferably some experience with sailing with tourists.

Coordinator, Nuuk

For our office in Kolonihavnen, we will need substitutes to take weekend shifts and other substitute times. Here you will welcome our guests who are going out sailing and will therefore be the first person our guests meet at Nuuk Water Taxi. It is therefore important that you are open, honest, friendly, service-minded, and solution-oriented.

It is also important that you are a good host and can chat with guests until their tour departs.

Maritime certification including:

Engine Room Watch Rating

Valid STCW Safety Course

Valid STCW Firefighting Course

Valid STCW Medical Care Course

Radiotelephony certificate: GMDSS LRC

Valid health certificate - without restrictions. Including a medical certificate for seafarers.

Knowledge of sailing in Greenland and particularly the waters around Nuuk.

Seamen

Valid STCW Safety Course

Valid health certificate - without restrictions. Including a medical certificate for seafarers.

Flair for other software solutions, as all workflows run in different online systems. Both booking, accounting, etc.

Missing courses can be updated at IMARSIORNERMIK ILINNIARFIK – Greenland's Maritime Center.

It is also possible to supplement or update your courses at maritime schools in Denmark. There are, for example, maritime schools in Skagen, Marstal, Svendborg, and several other places.
