Join us on this nice hike up in the beautiful backcountry of Nuuk. The hike will take you from the edge of the city to what the local snowmobilers call “Nedkørslen”. There is a great view into the fiord and a little shelter where we can have a nice break.

We start the tour from the colonial harbour, from which we'll drive out to the starting point of the hike. We'll start off heading into paradise valley where we will cross some small streams and then make our way up Kuanninnguit along a fresh water stream with several waterfalls.

The route is fairly well marked and there is a tiny footpath but you do need to be in fairly good shape as we will head up about 400 metres high - The view is worth every step though!

When we reach the viewpoint we'll be near a tiny shelter where we can enjoy a lunch as well as a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We'll stick around for a bit and just take in the views where we might get lucky and spot some wildlife such as foxes, hares and ptarmigan.

The local guide will talk about the local flora and fauna along the ways as well as bringing some safety gear such as a GPS, a radio and a small first aid kit.
