The glaciers of Greenland are retrieving with rapid speed and many of them have already melted. This means that the glaciers now stop producing icebergs, but in stead they just brake of and melt on land, meaning that they stop cooling down the ocean.

This tour is for the adventurer that would like a daytour with ice on the program.

We will head north towards the Icefiord, from where the ice leaves the Greenlandic Ice Cap and collapses into the water. The tour to the glacial area is very beautiful and on the way, you will have the chance to see whales, seals or even white tipped eagles. The list goes on.

Along the way, your captain will share stories of life in Greenland, now and historical.

Arriving at the glacial area our captain will slow down the boat and slowly cruise among the icebergs.

We will shut down the engine, and enjoy the total silence – or maybe we can hear the glacier explode from time to time, when some of the icebergs brake of the glacer. This is where the climate changes can be witnessed first hand, as you can see the old glacial edge, clearly marked by the lines of sand.

Heading back towards Nuuk, it is not uncommon for our guests to take a nap 🙂
